The queen of minimalist trends, Hailey Bieber, recently introduced to us her skincare line, Rhode, which is all about giving your skin a dewy, “glazed” finish. The “glazed donut” nail trend has complemented the glazing skin she brought into the beauty vernacular. Her vision to look like a glazed donut before she goes to bed is now a reality, and now her nails mimic the sweet treat they’re named after — particularly the slick and smooth layer of glaze that tops the donut. Thanks to her go-to manicurist, Zola Ganzorigt, the secret to recreating this nail trend has been revealed. Keep scrolling to find major inspo for your next appointment at the nail salon.
The newest twist of glazed donut nails that Hailey loves- grey pearly manicure!
The nail artist also created several variations of the original sheer white look, including neon chrome and lavender chrome, but she’s currently loving the pink iteration. “My current favorite is the strawberry glazed donut nails, which is the sheer pink version,” Ganzorigt shares.
Glazed donut nails made up of a sheer white base with an incandescent metallic topcoat, covered in a glossy, milky frosting. The overall effect is a pearly, moonlit-white manicure that absolutely no one can stop talking about (or trying to re-create themselves).
To get the look: prep with the OPI GelColor Base Coat ($22), apply one coat of the Nail Labo Presto Color Gel ($23) mixed with clear gel, apply a thin layer of the OPI Chrome Effects No Cleanse Top Coat ($17.95), rub on the OPI Chrome Effects in Tin Man Can ($14), and seal it with one coat of OPI Gel Color Stay Shiny Top Coat ($8.99).
